Bowden Family Photos | Pickett State Park

So, back in early October, I met Samantha and Lily in the morning and headed out to Pickett State Park to take some photos. It was a little chilly but still very pretty.

In her momma’s shoes! Such a cute idea.

These colours are legit.

Then, Adam joined us before he had to head off to work.

Samantha, do me a favor. Blow that one up there,  big and hang it on your wall.

Or that one.

I think Lily looks extremely CUTE in that photo.

Ballin’.

That’s all folks.

Previews

I’m scrambling to get everything edited. October was a rough month. I decided to post a little sneak peek of what is coming to the blog in the near [I promise it's soon] future.

First would be: Bowden family photos.

So much cuteness coming. So MUCH.

Then we’ll have the Conatser wedding.

I’m so excited to show you more from their day!! Some special people here, folks.

And lastly, we’ve got Leah and Josh’s wedding.

This girl, knows how to dance/party it up. No lie.

I just wanted to let my clients know, I’m working on your photos. Promise!

Lisa + Michael | Married

I first met Lisa during my Snow White and Evil Queen shoot when she blew me away with her fierceness as the EQ. Seriously. Then, I knew I had to have her when my good friend Aria and I decided to do Ginny Greenteeth at a recent shootout we hosted. So, of course I was ecstatic when she asked me if I would shoot her wedding. I didn’t see the need for the question because Lisa is amazing and I am so happy that I got to capture her big day.

It was loads of pressure just because I knew her and she’s super rad so I really wanted to impress her. Hope I did! [Not that I have to think your rad to impress you.]

Also, there are SO many photos, I’m doing a slideshow.  So. Enjoy it.

Congrats Michael and Lisa! I wish you a life of happiness.

Hallowe’en

Hallowe’en is my favourite of my favourites!

I love everything about all hallow’s eve and I really hate it when stores put out Christmas or Thanksgiving decorations before Hallowe’en. It’s rude.

But, I just wanted to let everyone know that I DO have Hallowe’en photos. I just haven’t taken them yet. October was so busy that I haven’t had time to do ONE personal shoot which I’m VERY upset about. You know, since October is my favourite month. BY a LONG shot.

So, you better be waiting to see my new Hallowe’en photos that won’t be coming for a few weeks.

Oh, the tragedy.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changing

I’m really starting to believe in the saying ‘everything changes’. In my experience, it’s mostly been out of necessity and not always because of some negative experience. It’s inevitable. I couldn’t stop my hair from losing curl after giving birth to my daughter. There is no way I can stop the season’s changing. Everything is continually changing, evolving and I am, too.

I’m changing the way I do things and I’m learning what I want and what I want to avoid most definitely.

So hang on. I’m ch-ch-ch-ch-changing.

Taylor : Senior Session

I love photographing seniors. It’s so interesting to see the different dynamics of high school, when I meet different high schoolers. Taylor goes to my high school  and I actually graduated with her brother and her sister in law. It’s a small world folks. It’s a small world.

[p.s. I love it when people repeat a line to add drama. I find it so funny. And that's why I do it.]

I met Taylor and her family at a small little farm a few minutes from Northgate Mall in Chattanooga. I had no idea that there were horses this close to the mall. NO IDEA.

Tada!! Congrats Taylor on being a senior!!

Hannah + Jeremy E-Session

I believe I basically volunteered myself to be their photographer and I’m so happy I did. Hannah and Jeremy are so at ease with each other and so in love. It doesn’t take long to realize that they love each other so much. Hannah told me the story of their first ‘date/hang out’. She was recuperating from a surgery and he showed up on her doorstep and she slowly made her way outside and then he swept her off her feet. Literally. He picked her up and walked her to the car. AYKM with that sweetness??!? I’m sure if any of you need to pick up some tips on being a gentleman, I believe Jeremy takes paypal.

Also, Hannah reminded me earlier, that these are the first photos EVER of her and Jeremy together. Talk about pressure!!

Without further ado, I present Hannah and Jeremy’s engagement photos!

Can I just say, I LOVE it when couples interact with each other?!? It’s like love magic when couples look at each other in a secret way without my direction. Yeah, I said love magic.

This is what happens when I tell someone like Jeremy to let his fiance lay back on his shoulder: he moves back. BUT, if you look closely, he’s right there to catch her when she falls.

Hannah, you’re gorgeous. ‘Nough said.

There he goes again.

Sweeping her off her feet.

I’m one session closer to finishing all the editing I have to do. It’s a bit ridiculous with how much I need to do. Be on the look out for a new blog coming soon!

Burned

October is my favourite month, hands down. There is nothing I like better than brisk wind, orange leaves, peppermint tea, scarves, and the fresh cold scent of October. This October I turned twenty-three and I feel old and unaccomplished. At least, in a few instances. I am enjoying October, but on the other hand, I had so many ideas [and still do] for my own personal portfolio, that I was going to get started on in October and I haven’t done one shoot. NOT one.

I’ve been so busy with engagement sessions and weddings that I don’t even have time to write this blog. I have to spend every waking moment editing photos so I can satisfy  my clients and meet deadlines and it seems as though November is going to be just as busy [ with all creative project, but none personal]. This has led to a want and basically a need to create. I feel this huge urge pulling on every fiber of me, screaming, telling me to create. It’s a wonderful and horrible feeling that hurts my bones.

I wanted to spend a week in October at my grandmother’s so I could camp outside and wander around and discover new friends and revisit old acquaintances, but instead, I’ve been traveling to Knoxville, Pigeon Forge, Chattanooga, and back again for the past few weeks and it leaves no personal time. Don’t get me wrong, this is not me saying/complaining about my clients [that's a whole different post! (joking)] or all the wonderful places I’ve got to see. I just need to create something personal soon, before my mind explodes, or worse, stops working.

So, tarry with me. I promise, good things are coming and I have a million ideas that I will photograph the moment I get a chance.

You guys are the best.

Cheers!

Rachael + Levi: E-Session

I met Rachael and Levi in Cades Cove TN back at the end of September. I’ve been so busy these last few weeks with weddings and engagement sessions and I’m struggling to get all these photos edited. So, stay with me folks, stay with me.

These photos were a bit different to edit just because I didn’t realize the light would be so different up in Cades Cove, but we made do. It was my first time there and I was a little disappointed I didn’t see a bear. Is it really that much to ask to see a bear?!?

Anywho, here are a few photos from their engagement session!

That’s my favourite!! Tada!

It seems I need to fix my good ol’ watermark, eh?

Check out her bling!

haha! They are so cute together.

There you have it folks. Stay tuned for SO many blogs to come.

Cheers!

x,

Adrienne
